Baguio City, Philippines – All the six Cordilleran representatives in the first-ever Great Man of the Universe were able to secure their spot in the top 10 of the runway challenge, qualifying them to compete in the final challenge.
Great Man of the Universe, a nationwide male pageant, intends to promote tourism, education, culture, sports and arts of the various regions in the country.
The search will culminate some time in November 2022 in Manila.
In the online runway challenge judged by three pageant coaches, Stephen Harold Lilley Jr. of Sablan, Benguet ranked first with a total of 17 points while Irvin Tan of Baguio City placed fourth with 14.333 points.
Meanwhile, Miguel Jarrel Dumalilis Bas-ilen of La Trinidad, Benguet emerged as sixth placer with 13.667 points; John Rowel Recile of Mountain Province placed 7th with 13 points; Lucas Empiso of Kapangan, Benguet placed 8th with 12.667 points; and Delefher Comising of Itogon, Benguet placed 10th with 12 points.
Pageant organizers lauded the winners of the said challenge.
“These great men undeniably did amazing during the challenge despite the fact that their RUNWAY videos were solely made and conceptualized by them! Well done!” they expressed.
Lilley extended gratitude to their supporters and asked for continued support in the next challenge, saying, “can’t do this without you by my side.”
Of the 108 applicants, some were screened from the challenges launched by the organizers.
Only 55 candidates were qualified to continue for the final challenge – the hotness overload. Winning candidates from this challenge will earn their ticket to the top 50.
