Abra, Philippines – A teacher in Abra who rode a motorcycle in attending the culmination of the National Teachers’ Month on October 05 at Abra Sports Complex went home riding a P1.3 million worth brand new Toyota Innova, after winning the grand prize in the raffle draw.
The lucky winner, Simona Pariñal, 45, a teacher in Barangay Supo, Tubo, Abra cannot contain her happiness when her name was called on stage.
She conveyed she has been participating in various raffle draws but did not have much luck, until the said celebration.
“Nakaragragsakak… nagpapasalamat ako kay Lord kasi binigay niya yung gusto ko ngayong araw na mapalanunan ko yung Innova car na yun,” expressed Pariñal in her interview with Abra TV.
The winning teacher said the car will be of great help, especially in carrying out her duties as an educator and for her family use as well.
She then thanked China Bank Savings for initiating the raffle draw with huge prizes.
“Sana makatulong to sa inyo dahil ang pagiging guro ay hindi biro,” replied one of the personnel of said bank.
Aside from the brand new car, CBS also gave 30 Honda motorcycles, 26 Dell laptops, and P1 million worth of giveaways in the grand draw.
The event graced by Department of Education Secretary, Vice President Sara Duterte with First Lady Marie Louise ‘Liza’ Araneta-Marcos, and Regional Director of DepEd Estella L. Cariño was attended by around 3,500 teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Abra School Division Office.
