All groups got one fish cage each.

In total, the five cages with 10-meter diameter and 6-meter in depth cost P3.8 million, according to the said bureau.

The grant, it added, is part of its livelihood project under its fisheries development program in its bid to maximize the use of the Magat water resource at the same time sustain fisherfolk’s livelihood for increased production and income.

The initiative is likewise pursuant to the Republic Act 11321 known as the Farmers and Fisherfolk Enterprise Development Program or the “Sagip Saka Act of 2019” aimed at broadening the state's interventions from production to processing and marketing using the value chain system of the agricultural sector.

It can be recalled that in 2021 fisherfolks in the same province, including those in Aguinaldo and Alfonso Lista were provided with some 25 units of fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) boats.
