Another arrest warrant served against jailed robber from Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – While he is currently jailed in Roxas, Isabela due to his ongoing trial, a suspected robber from Tabuk City got served with another warrant of arrest this Tuesday, February 21.


The suspect, Rico Palas, was first arrested in Quezon, Isabela on January 11 this year. The police served his standing arrest warrant for robbery on the said date but he resisted arrest. He and his two companions attempted to escape and fired at the operatives.

However, the three were cornered in Quezon in a hot pursuit operation. The police recovered a gun, hand grenade, and suspected marijuana from him.


On February 21, authorities from Tabuk City served him another arrest warrant for Robbery with Violence Against or Intimidation of Persons at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – Roxas.


He was charged with the said case after he allegedly robbed two people on November 12, 2022, in Bulo, Tabuk. He was accused of pointing a gun at one victim and shooting the back of the other before taking P250,000 and a cellular phone worth P8,000 from them.


His warrant of arrest for the said case was issued and uploaded on February 20, 2023, with a recommended bail of P100,000.
