Baguio commends Cordilleran mom for topping Aug. 2023 psychologist board exam

Baguio City, Philippines – A Cordilleran mom didn’t just top one or two licensure examinations, she aced three.

August 2023 Psychologist Licensure Examination Top 7, Maricris Payagen Lad-ey – Neyney was recently lauded by the Baguio City government through a resolution for bringing ‘honor and pride’ to the city.

The board topnotcher’s journey, the resolution stated as cited by the Baguio City Public Information Office, has further proven that the city continuously produces quality graduates who do well in their fields of specialization.

Topping a licensure exam is sure a huge deal, but what about excelling in three board exams? Maricris is one of the few individuals who can really tell what it is like.

Apart from the August 2023 psychologist licensure test, the 38-year-old Igorot mom also did well in the 2011 Board Exam for Guidance Counselors as she placed 3rd among the examinees.

Seven years later, she emerged as the top 8 of the Psychometrician Licensure Examination.

Maricris is also a licensed professional teacher after passing the board exam for teachers in 2012.

Currently, the board topnotcher is the Chief of the Human Resource Development Office of Benguet State University.
