Baguio dancesport athletes win multiple medals at 15th Benguet Open Dancesport and PDSFI Grand Slam Luzon Leg 2026, earn city honors

Baguio City – The City Government of Baguio recognized a group of young dancesport athletes from Baguio Central School and the University of the Cordilleras during the Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremony held at Baguio City Hall on June 8, 2026.


Through Resolution No. 418, Series of 2026, the city honored the athletes for their medal-winning performances at the 15th Benguet Open Dancesport and PDSFI Grand Slam Luzon Leg 2026 held in La Trinidad, Benguet.

The athletes brought pride to Baguio City after securing multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals across various competition categories. Their achievements showcased not only their talent but also their discipline, dedication, and excellence in dancesport.


Those recognized by the city were Jahzaer Andrei S. Agapito, Allysson Jean D. Soriano, Gwyneth Angelique C. Diaz, Cebriel Morgan O. Abila, Precious Jelaine Q. Garcia, Willord Zach G. Quero, Sethrealle Colton M. Ibasco, Saphierre Angel Lique T. Dato-on, Jhusryl King Jacob H. Zulueta, Erich Harmonie R. Navalta, Brianna Wrenn K. Lopez, and Braizzy Khaled F. Navarette.


Coach Terrence Jeffrey Soriano was likewise recognized for his guidance and dedication in training the athletes, which contributed to their successful performances in the competition.


The recognition highlights the city's continuing support for young athletes who excel in their respective fields and bring honor to Baguio in regional and national competitions.


City officials congratulated the athletes and their coach for their hard work and commitment, noting that their success serves as a source of pride for Baguio City and an inspiration to aspiring young athletes.
