Benguet bet is first runner-up in Mr. Island Tourism PH 2023

Benguet, Philippines – The 21-year-old Benguet hunk made waves in the Mr. Island Tourism PH 2023 held on April 29 at Pulchra Resort in San Fernando, Cebu.

Kyle Brent Kimayong of Kibungan, Benguet won first runner-up in the national pageant which features men who advocate tourism, environmental sustainability, and conservation in the country.

Kimayong, a resident of Brookspoint Aurora Hill, Baguio City, was also named Mr. Innosense Collection and Best Tourism Video.

The industrial engineering student of Saint Louis University described his experience as a “door opener.”

He expressed gratitude to the support of his fellow candidates, family and friends, organizers, his manager, designers, outfit providers, the local government unit, Congressman Mark Go, among others.

“Agyaman ak apo… This journey was full of hardships and I couldn't have made it without everyone's support,” Kimayong said.

Meanwhile, Delefher Comising from Itogon, Benguet got the Best in Arrival Outfit award.

Other winners

Among the 20 candidates from various provinces, the 21-year-old Talisaynon - William Paul Zenz was crowned as the second Mister Island Tourism Philippines, succeeding the inaugural title-holder, Rafael Tan.

He bagged Mr. Cabalen, Mr. Photogenic, Best in Festival Costume, and Best in Modern Barong. As the winner, he is set to represent the country at Mister Island Tourism International slated for December in Cebu.

Fil-Nigerian Anthony Kenneth Ekwenugo of Oslob, Cebu ended campaign as second runner-up, while Jemuel Brown Arnaiz of Negros Oriental settled as third runner-up. Completing the finalists is Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal of Taclobo, Dumaguete City who was awarded the Darling of the Press.

Further, Wilson Gloria Jr. (Lapu-Lapu City) was chosen as LoveYourself Ambassador; John Michael Narvaez (Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte) as Mr. Quest Smile, and Mr. MIGAG; Jeurvil Jamero (Surigao del Norte) as City Center Suites Ambassador; and Shane Ikerr Dave Baron (Cordova) as Best in Swimwear Shane Ikerr Dave Baron (Cordova).
