Bulut swears in new officers of Cordillera Association of Regional Executives



Baguio City, Philippines – Apayao Gov. Elias Bulut Jr., who is also the concurrent Chairperson of the Regional Development Council, underscored the CARE principles - Compassion, Action, Responsibility, and Empowerment as he swore in on Monday, July 17, the new officers of Cordillera Association of Regional Executives (CARE).


The association joined by public servants from various agencies will be involved in the decision-making, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the RDC for the overall development of the region.


Taking the helm of the CARE for 2023-2025 is DSWD Regional Director (RD) Leo Quintilla as the President; DPWH RD Khadaffy Tanggol as Vice - President; CSC RD Nerissa Canguilan as Secretary; and NEDA RD Susan Sumbeling as Assistant Secretary.

NAPOLCOM RD Editha Puddoc will serve as Treasurer with DOST RD Nancy Bantogas as Assistant Treasurer; Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) North Luzon Regional Officer Noel Neil Malimban as Auditor; PIA RD Helen Tibaldo as Press Relations Officer; and DOT RD Jovita Ganongan as Business Manager.


Further, elected Marshalls are DILG RD Araceli San Jose and DOLE RD Nathaniel Lacambra, while OCD RD Albert Mogol will act as ex-officio.


Bulut, in his keynote message during the induction in Baguio City, challenged the newly-elected officers to serve with the dedication to create a difference for the betterment of the lives of Cordillerans.



“As you embark on this journey, remember that you are the chosen few. You carry on your shoulders the hope and thrust of thousands. I personally believe that we are at the cusp of something important in our bid for autonomy. Let us go all in! The responsibility may feel heavy, but remember the essence of CARE,” stressed the RDC Chair.
