Cong. Mangaoang encourages teachers to continue innovative research

Tabuk City, Kalinga – During the 50th Founding Anniversary of Tabuk National High School today February 25, 2022, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang encouraged teachers to continue their innovative research and to make use of his proposed Kalinga Heritage Museum and Cultural Center, soon to be approved by President Rodrigo Duterte.

In his message delivered by Placido Alsiyang, Mangaoang called for the teachers to research more on the indigenous knowledge, systems, and practices which he promotes as the Chairman of Committee on Indigenous People and Indigenous Cultural Communities in Congress.


Mangaoang explained that the research on said studies is to preserve the culture of the people of Kalinga and for the next generations to have a reference, adding he aims the same in filing a bill for the construction of Kalinga Heritage Museum and Cultural Center.

According to the solon, the center shall serve as an institutional medium for the collection, preservation, and enhancement of the cultural, artistic, archeological, social, and religious heritage of the people.


Mangaoang’s proposal was approved by the Senate on January 21, 2022, and he is hopeful for the President’s approval sooner.
