Man suffering from liver disease found dead in Baguio City

Baguio City, Philippines –A lifeless body of a man was discovered in an abandoned house in Purok 17, Barangay Irisan, Baguio City earlier today, July 28.


Authorities identified the victim as Jose Francisco Castaneto Caramat, a garbage collector and a resident of said area.

Investigation revealed that Caramat was suffering from liver cirrhosis disease, as relayed by his brother, Alberto Castaneto Caramat.


His condition was believed to be the reason for his death.


Based on the examination done to the body, he might have been dead for six to eight hours before he was located this Friday.


One of the residents in the area likewise said he had a conversation with Caramat morning of Wednesday before the incident happened.

Meantime, the victim’s family refused to subject the body to an autopsy.
