Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two business establishments in Kalinga were awarded the Bagwis Seal of Excellence by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for upholding consumer rights and providing quality service to customers.

The awards were presented by DTI officials, including Assistant Secretary Grace F. Baluyan, Regional Director Atty. Raymond G. Panhon, and Provincial Director Renie M. Ramos, during the formal opening of the Kalinga Treasures Fair on February 9, 2026.

Also in attendance were former Kalinga Representative Allen Jesse C. Mangaoang, representing Congresswoman Caroline Agyao, and Governor James S. Edduba.

During the event, Visionnet Computers received the award under the Bronze category, while Centro Department Store was recognized under the Gold category.

According to DTI guidelines, the Bronze Bagwis Award is conferred to establishments that comply with consumer protection laws and have proper systems in serving customers. Meanwhile, the Gold category is given to establishments that meet all Bronze requirements and maintain a higher level of service and quality management.

With these two new awardees, the Provincial DTI Office reported that Kalinga now has a total of 30 Bagwis-certified establishments. Visionnet Computers became the 10th Bronze awardee, while Centro Department Store is the 7th Gold awardee in the province.

DTI officials encouraged other businesses to follow the example set by the awardees and continue improving their services.
