DTI-Kalinga awards livelihood kits to 9 micro entrepreneurs

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Department of Trade and Industry – Kalinga awarded this April 28, livelihood kits to 9 recipients of the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa - Livelihood Seeding Program (PPG-LSP).


The awarding of livelihood kits was conducted alongside the Duterte Legacy Caravan held at the Kalinga Astrodome.

In an interview with Provincial Director Renie Ramos, he explained that the PPG-LSP intends to assist the recovery of micro enterprises affected by fire incidents, COVID-19 pandemic and other calamities.


Each entrepreneur-beneficiary is given P8,000 worth kit, depending on their business operation needs.

Of the nine recipients given livelihood kits today, five (5) are entrepreneurs of Tabuk City and four (4) from the municipality of Rizal.


According to Ramos, the department has already provided a total of 578 kits to all the 143 barangays in Kalinga for this year 2022.

The Provincial Director reminded the beneficiaries to sustain and improve their business as they play a significant role in improving the local economy
