Tabuk City, Kalinga – To store more blood which will be made free to the public, a group of young professionals in Kalinga is set to conduct a bloodletting activity at the Kalinga Provincial Capitol on April 30, 2022.

The activity was organized by One Kalinga Blood (OKB), an organization of young professionals in Kalinga that provides blood without fee for the yKalingas in need.

In an interview with Nakingngak Bangloy, one of the members of OKB, he narrated that there are many patients in the province in need of blood every day and that some of them do not have enough financial resources to avail. With this, they thought of conducting a regular bloodletting activity to generate more blood for the public.

Bangloy added that the blood donation on April 30 aims to store more blood at OKB’s blood bank in order to accommodate more patients every day.

“If we have more blood available, we have more chances of saving lives every day,” he stressed.

Bangloy then appealed to qualified blood donors to participate in the event on April 30 and to join the cause in providing readily available blood to yKalinga patients.

“One Kalinga Blood was organized not to compete with other organizations that are doing the same thing, but to help others in providing more blood to save lives in the province. Ang OKB ay hindi naniningil kung may manghihingi ng dugo, hindi naghahanap ng agarang kapalit bagkus binibigay namin agad ang dugo kung ito ay available dahil alam namin na ang buhay ay iisa,” he expressed.
