Kalinga cop is Dangal ng Lahi 2023 Exemplary Police Officer and Outstanding Leader

Tabuk City, Kalinga – This year’s Dangal ng Lahi Awards 2023 exemplary police officer and outstanding leader was conferred to a uniformed man from the Province of Kalinga.

Through his hard work and dedication in serving the community, Police Staff Sergeant Arjay Estolas Payumo of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion(RMFB) 15 in Tabuk City received said award on November 28 at Waterfront in Cebu City.

Payumo was specifically cited the “Philippines' Exemplary Police Officer and Outstanding Leadership in the Field of Public Service Award” due to the ‘Edukasyon Mo, Suportado Ko’ program he conceptualized with their former commander, PCapt. John Paul Colangan.

His initiative provided deserving students with android phones, pocket Wi-Fi, and allowance donated by stakeholders which aims at helping learners in their studies particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.

To counter insurgency, Payumo who has a doctorate degree in community development likewise gives lectures and conducts information education campaign to the community. Other works he participated in include ‘Youth Development Session/Youth Leadership Summit’, ‘Panangaywan iti Kailyan’, and ‘Oplan Sulat Kamay’.

Payumo conveyed it is an honor and pride to be one of the recipients of the Dangal ng Lahi Awards which recognizes outstanding Filipinos in various fields.

“Personally, with or without award is continues parin ang mandato natin that is to provide better and quality service to our people,” said Payumo.
