Kalinga LGU grants learning tablets to students

Tabuk City, Kalinga – In support to the online learning modality of students in the province, the provincial local government headed by Governor Ferdinand Tubban turned over 121 units of Samsung Galaxy tablets to the Schools Division Office.


After the tablets were handed over to the office by Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Ken Emery Martinez on March 30, the division on a later date distributed the units to the learner-beneficiaries.


The provincial government procured the tablets to help the students have access to modern learning tools at the same time quality education.


In its April 11 press release, the division further explained that such support is in line with the project of the Department of Education – Cordillera dubbed as ‘Project HyTEQ’ or the Hybrid Learning using Technology with Equity and Quality.


“Project HyTEQ aims to provide schools with technology, content, and trainings to implement offline and online strategies of distance learning and even in-person classes using network and server technologies, Learning Management System and other open educational sources,” stated the division office.


Tubban administration has been providing all-out support to the education sector for its attainment of vision and mission. The administration gave scholarships to deserving students, computer printers, motorcycles, among others.

"Laingen yo nga agiskwela ta nabalor iti adal. Mamati tayo nga dayta ti kamayatan nga mabalin nga maipatawid dagiti nagannak ta saan to pulos a mapukaw,” Tubban highlighted earlier.
