Kalinga LGU to turn over P106.1M Pinagan-Magnao Provincial Road to recipients

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The provincial government of Kalinga headed by Governor Ferdinand Tubban is scheduled to turn over the P106,131,237 worth rehabilitated Pinagan-Magnao Provincial Road to recipients this March.


Provincial Governor’s Office-Information Services, in a press release, revealed this, citing Memorandum Order No. 2022-42 issued by Tubban.


According to the office, the 3.5-kilometer Pinagan-Magnao Provincial Road was funded under the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) with counterpart from the local government unit.

During the inspection of the Provincial Project Monitoring Committee on January 5, they found the project to be ‘substantially completed’ with remaining works of clearing of construction debris and road stretch’s thermoplastic painting on center and side linings.


Now the project is a ‘dream come true’ for the governor and the residents. With the provision of an all-weather road, the livelihood of 3,224 recipients from Magnao, Nambucayan, and Guilayon, who greatly depends on farming, is expected to improve.

The project which was implemented by the provincial government through its Provincial Engineering Office officially started on August 14, 2020.
