Kalinga PDRRMO convenes to ensure Safe Summer Vacation and 2022 Election


Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Province of Kalinga through its Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) is set to augment needed manpower and logistics at the identified stations for Ligtas Summer Vacation (SUMVAC) and 2022 election.


Jolanta Baac, the PDRRMO head, underscored this during the First Quarter meeting of PDRRMC on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at M Hotel, Appas, Tabuk City.

This, according to Baac, is to ensure the safety, peace, and order of yKalingas throughout the said significant occasions which remain as the council’s top priority, especially in tourism and worship sites this Holy Week.


PDRRMC will further conduct regular inspections and visits to tourist spots with maximum police visibility.


Meanwhile, Police Major Albin L. Balutoc, representing the Acting Provincial Director, disclosed that the Kalinga Provincial Police Office ensures that all police units and stations will adhere to prescribed guidelines to prevent crimes and resurgence of COVID-19 cases.

In preparation for the Unity Walk, Peace Rally, and Peace Covenant Signing of the provincial candidates that will be held on April 7, the KPPO is coordinating with the Commission on Election – Kalinga.


Moreover, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Kalinga will set up heavy equipment to identified access roads.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Edward Tandingan urged implementing agencies to make sure that health protocols are observed.


Led by Governor Ferdinand Tubban, the council also discussed requirements for the Gawad Kalasag and Seal of Good Local Governance and other updates.
