Updated: Aug 7, 2023

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga pride, Sergeant Sesy Lou Bucalen-Salazar, is now set to conquer the international stage and serenade the world with her golden voice.

Salazar flew to California on July 26 to join the 26th Annual World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) from July 28 to August 6, 2023, in Anaheim.

WCOPA, cited as a ‘Talent Olympics' gathers singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and artists from 70 countries around the globe. The event’s highlights include a parade of nations, world stars boot camp, and a global webcast where grand champions will be selected.

Winners will be taking home over a quarter of a million-dollar scholarships and prizes.

Salazar, wearing the blue jacket donned by the WCOPA National Director will be singing for the Philippines in the competition.

The songbird, in her interview with Station 1 Radio, conveyed she dedicates her performance to all who supported and keep supporting her saying, “The gratitude I have for everyone who has supported me along the journey is beyond words. Without you, I would not be here, and I promise to give it my all.”

“This time, my performance will be for our country rather than simply for me!” she added.
