Tabuk City, Kalinga - Kalinga Vice Governor Dave Odiem has formally joined the ranks of the League of Vice Governors of the Philippines (LVGP) after taking his oath of office at the Malacañang Palace recently.

To recall, Odiem was elected as one of the officers of the LVGP National Executive Board for the term 2025–2028 during the league’s First Executive Meeting of the LVGP on July 19, 2025, at the Manila Hotel.

On his Facebook page, Odiem said the meeting was attended by a total of eighty-two vice-governors across the country and was conducted to foster unity, efficient governance, and enhanced cooperation among local legislative bodies.

On September 30, the Kalinga Vice-Governor officially assumed the national role during the oath-taking ceremony administered by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at the President’s Hall in Malacañang Palace.

The oath-taking marked the start of a collective mission among the provincial leaders to strengthen local legislation, back development efforts, and address the challenges faced by their respective provinces.

For Odiem, being an officer of the national body of leaders is an important opportunity to carry Kalinga’s voice to a wider platform, bringing with him the aspirations of his constituents.

The LVGP, according to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), is a platform where Philippine vice-governors formulate effective strategies or solutions to local issues, and promote initiatives that will bring development in their respective in provinces.
