Lubuagan RHU first to get license as Primary Care Facility in Kalinga

Lubuagan, Kalinga — The Lubuagan Rural Health Unit received its license to operate as a Primary Care Facility on July 13, 2022 and is the first among other RHUs in the

Province of Kalinga to get such license.

With the latest development, the RHU is enabled to provide improved health care services to the municipality.

Nurse Arnulfo Waytan explained that the license to operate is mandated by the Universal Health Care in order to make sure that the health services being given by the health units are safe and accessible.

Lubuagan’s application for the license, according to Waytan, was submitted in May this year at the Regulations, Licensing and Enforcement Division of DOH-CAR after the RHU complied and completed the needed requirements.

“Masapul nga am-aminen nga providers iti health ket dapat maikkan ti lincense tapnu ma-ensure nga iti services that we are giving to people ket safe ken accessible,” he explained.

With the license, he said, the health services being given to the public is guaranteed safe, patient-oriented, and with quality. This is because before they receive their permit, their application undergoes review with evaluators returning their documents in case they need to improve an area.

Among services being delivered by a primary care facility include immunization, pre-natal, and other primary and basic health care services.
