Lubuagan senior citizens advised to strictly follow quarterly stipend schedule

Writer: Lubuagan LGULubuagan LGU

Lubuagan, Kalinga – After noting some concerns during the recently concluded first quarter payout of social pension in Lubuagan, the senior citizens were reminded to strictly follow distribution schedules of their stipend to prevent delays in receiving their pension for the succeeding quarters.

Based on the data given by April Rose Soliaban, Project Development Officer for Social Pension Program at Social Welfare and Development Kalinga, a total of 1,106 beneficiaries received their P1,500 pension last February 17 and 18.

From the said number, 188 of the beneficiaries came from Barangay Dangoy; 142 from Antonio Canao; 79 from Lower Uma; 181 from Mabilong; 73 from Mabongtot; 177 from Poblacion; 70 from Tanglag; 108 from Uma del Norte; and 88 are from Barangay Upper Uma.

Around 72 beneficiaries missed receiving their first quarter benefits on the said dates.

Soliaban disclosed that some of the beneficiaries were not in their barangay during the payout, while the others have already passed away.

Nevertheless, the project development officer appeals to the beneficiaries to be updated with the schedule of the distribution in their area so that they will not miss their money on the second quarter payout next month. Also, they need to refrain from forging signatures for the authorization documents.

“Kayat mi i-remind isuda to be mindful kadagidiay schedules iti payout and to be honest, especially dagidiay signatures kadagidiay authorization documents. Haan nga i-release ti paymaster ti stipend nu makita da a forged or haan agtugma iti signatures ken thumb marks. Sayang lang bannog da a nakipila ken pamasahe da a napan idiay venue,” she said.
