“Basta illegal, Huli”: 26-yr-old man in Isabela caught with 1.5 grams of suspected shabu

SAN ISIDRO, Isabela — A 26-year-old unemployed man was arrested after police allegedly seized 1.5 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Quezon, San Isidro, Isabela, on the evening of September 8, 2026.


Police identified the suspect as alias “Mac,” 26, single, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Rizal East, San Isidro.


The San Isidro Police Station conducted the operation at around 10:05 p.m. in District Bernabe, Barangay Quezon, resulting in the suspect’s arrest.


Recovered from the suspect were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, with a combined estimated weight of 1.5 grams.


Police also seized a genuine ₱1,000 bill and a counterfeit ₱1,000 bill used as buy-bust or boodle money, a Vivo Y31 Android phone, and a black-and-white Honda Click motorcycle without a license plate, including its ignition key.


The suspect is facing charges for alleged violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.


He remains in the custody of the San Isidro Police Station for documentation and appropriate legal proceedings.


PCOL Manuel B. Bringas, provincial director of the Isabela Police Provincial Office, said police would continue intensifying operations against illegal drugs to help maintain safe and peaceful communities.


The Isabela PPO also urged the public to immediately report suspicious activities involving illegal drugs to the police.
