Updated: Oct 17, 2022

Ramon, Isabela – A cadaver of a man was found floating in an irrigation canal at the boundary of Barangay San Antonio and Villa Carmen of Ramon, Isabela on the afternoon of September 11.

The victim was identified by the police as Jennifer Martin, male and of legal age, a resident of Bugallon Proper of said town.

Based on the initial investigation by the police, as reported by 98.5 I-FM Cauayan, the victim left home with a companion morning of the aforementioned day to have a drink with friends. While drinking, he was said to have left the group to buy alcohol, but he never returned.

In the afternoon of the same day, some residents of Barangay San Antonio saw the victim’s body floating in the irrigation canal nearby and informed authorities about the incident.

When the body was recovered, the police discovered several wounds on the victim’s head.

Meantime, the family requested an autopsy of the victim’s body to determine the real cause of his death. The police are still investigating the case.

As recalled, a cadaver of a man was also found floating in an irrigation in barangay San Juan of Alicia, Isabela last year.

PMaj Francis Pattad, chief of PNP Alicia, concluded that the victim was under the fluence of alcohol. That was why he went straight and fell into the irrigation canal along with his bicycle, which caused his drowning.
