2 men die in Isabela after their motorcycle collided with bus

Isabela, Philippines – A motorcycle rider and his back rider died from injuries after getting hit by a public bus along the Maharlika Highway in Batal, Santiago City.

Police initial investigation, as cited by XFM Santiago this May 29, disclosed that the involved vehicles were traversing opposite lanes. The motorcycle was heading to Barangay Divisoria while the bus was going to Santiago City Proper.

The bus allegedly overtook and while in the process, it hit the approaching motorcycle.

As a result, the motorcycle occupants identified as Reymond Martin(rider), 35, and Chris Richer Grante(back rider), 31 sustained severe injuries in the head and in other parts of their bodies resulting in their death. Both of them were residents of Echague, Isabela.

The bus driver was identified as Frederico Billena Cunanan, 51.
