Tanudan, Kalinga – As Tanudan celebrates its 59th Founding Anniversary, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag called on every yTanudan to unite and help one another for the betterment of the municipality.
Dagadag, during the opening program of the said celebration, conveyed that the election period is already over and that it is now the time to set aside political differences and the time to unite for the progress and development of Tanudan.
“Nalpas iti election, inpapas tayo metten nga naga-apa, iti isaruno tayo kuma ket agtitinnulong tayo para iti ili tayo nga Tanudan tapnu iti kasta napinpintas latta iti development iti ili tayo,” he said.
Dagadag also highlighted the importance of rendering voluntary and honest service to the community and fellowmen, as well as the readiness to help those who are in need.
“We are known of our unselfishness and ever ready actions to extend service to fellowmen in times of disasters, calamities and catastrophes,” he expressed, recounting how Tanudan responded to the massive flooding in Cagayan in November 2020.
It could be recalled that the Tanudan LGU allotted P100,000 funding to buy food packs to the victims of the flooding, despite limited resources.
A rescue team from Tanudan proceeded to Cagayan and went through houses by rubber boats to deliver the said food packs.
“I also encourage every yTanudan to join hands as one people in undertaking our mission to achieve our vision as one municipality,” Dagadag added.
