Tabuk City, Kalinga – Despite differences with the current administration, incumbent Vice Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as asserted that he didn’t hold the budget of Tabuk City at the legislative as he doesn’t want the people to suffer but reiterated that he had to question anomalies as it is part of his job as a member of the legislative.

Dao-as also cleared he did not stop the annual budget from being approved saying, “Siyak apo, haan ko inip-ipit iti pondo ta ammuk garud nga iti agsagaba ditoy ket kakailyan tayo met lang a taga Tabuk nu apan tayo ip-ipiten iti pondo, haan aya?”

He added that despite criticizing the anomalies happening at the city government, Dao-as affirmed that he supports the good things made by the current administration.

“Siyak ket iti dildillawek lang met ket diay madi ngem nu dagiay nasayaat met a kwan [programa] ni apo mayor ket suportarak met kasla kuma daytoy … pondo, haan ko met nga inip-ipit, dagitoy budget tayo,” he said, adding that he once was a barangay captain and that he knows what it’s like when the services get affected when the budget was held by a department due to issues between the legislative and the executive department of the city.

Dao-as cited that despite their differences, he didn’t let this get into the way in the approval and passing of budget of Tabuk for he didn’t want the constituents and services to the public be affected.

“Nagapu ak met iti pulis ket diay latta peace a iti nangnangruna unay kanyak. Ket isu diay paga-ammu tayo met siguro amin nga adda iti haan mi nagkinkinaawatan kenni apo Mayor Darwin gapu ket garud kadagiay panangkontrak kadagiay makitak a nga haan a nasayaat a mangmangyari ta diay kunak garud maidadanes ti kalugaran tayo a taga Tabuk,” Dao-as conveyed during the forum for the mayoralty candidates of Tabuk City and Tanudan at the Gimpong FM Radio on April 13, 2022.
