Pasil, Kalinga – Employees of the local government unit of Pasil under the leadership of Mayor Alfredo ‘Chao-ig’ Malannag Jr. received a total of P1,084,500 worth incentives in 2021.

P723,000 of the said amount was conferred as Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to the deserving 60 regular LGU employees.

The incentive is in pursuant to Section 6 of Administrative Order No. 45 series of 2021 issued by the President, requiring LGUs to provide a uniform rate not exceeding to P10,000. This is to reward the employees’ loyalty to government services and contributions to the agency’s continuing viable existence.

Pasil was able to fund the SRI from its P1,414,967.94 Personal Services (PS) savings.

Meanwhile, an amount of P361,000 was provided to LGU employees as Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) as per Budget Circular No. 4 series of 2017 issued by the Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

The budget circular provides for the grant of a uniform rate of P5,000 to each of the LGU employees, as determined by the Sanggunian.

Members of the Sangguiang Bayan authorized the appropriation of said incentives through Municipal Resolution No. 2021-143 for SRI and Municipal Resolution No. 2021-142 for PEI.

In support to the grant for LGU employees, Mayor Malannag approved both measures as he encouraged employees to do their part and strive for the betterment of Pasil.

According to Councilor Ronnie Bawalan, the employees received their incentives in January 2022.
