Pasil receives share from P5.2M PCSO medical assistance

Pasil, Kalinga – The local government of Pasil under the leadership of Alfredo Malannag Jr. through its Municipal Health Office recently received medicines and personal protective equipment (PPE) coverall from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).


Pasil is one of the LGUs and non-government organizations in Kalinga, Cagayan Valley, and Nueva Vizcaya that benefited from the P5,298,240 worth of food packs, medicines, and medical equipment turned over by PCSO at Camp Marcelo Adduru, PNP Regional Office - Region 2 on October 31.


The provision of assistance is part of the 87th Anniversary celebration of the agency.


PCSO Vice-Chairperson and General Manager Royina Marzan Garma graced the ceremonial turn over to Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Aldrin Siwao, and other recipients.

Among the medical assistance given to MHO are 100 PPE Coverall, 500 Ascorbic Syrup, 300 Ascorbic Acid Drops, 200 Paracetamol Syrup, 200 Paracetamol drops, 150 Lagundi Syrup, 100 each of Amoxicillin Syrup, Cetirizine drops, and Amoxicillin drops.


The health office also got 10 boxes each of Ascorbic Tab and B-Complex, 5 boxes of Omeprazole, 2 boxes each of Mefenamic capsule, Paracetamol tablet, Metformin, and Lagundi, and 1 boxes each of Cetirizine tablet, and Amlodipine.


PCSO-Kalinga Manager Rommel B. Ramos disclosed that the medicines and PPE Coverall cost P98,900.00.

Dr. Siwao expressed gratitude that the municipality of Pasil was chosen as a beneficiary, citing that said assistance will be significant in helping to address the health care services needs of the locality.


The Municipal Health Officer likewise thanked PCSO-Kalinga Manager Ramos for facilitating the assistance.


Kalinga Provincial Hospital and Barangay Agbannawag, Tabuk City, also received medical assistance from PCSO.
