Pasil reports 84% turnout of 1,160 target individuals to be swab tested

Pasil, Kalinga – Out of the 1,160 individuals targeted to undergo RT-PCR test for the Aggressive Community Testing (ACT) in this municipality, the LGU reported 982 individuals or 84 percent responded to the call for free swab testing.


ACT in Pasil was scheduled February 23, 2021 having four sites as testing areas which include the open gym of the municipal government, barangay hall of Malucsad, open gym of Barangay Guinaang and Cagaluan Elementary School.

Based on the data provided by the MLGU, 3 testing areas excluding Cagaluan Elementary School (CES) exceeded the targeted samples to be collected. CES testing area, on the other hand, was not able to meet the target samples gathering only 49.4 percent.


Of the total number of people swabbed per area, 200 were tested out of the 160 target individuals in the LGUs’ open gym, 220 out of the 200 targets in Malucsad testing site, 315 out of the 300 targets in Guinaang open gym and 247 out of the 500 targets in CES.

With said result, Mayor Alfredo Malannag, in a statement, expressed his gratitude to the ACT team and the BFP swabbers.


“In behalf of the LGU of Pasil, I would like to extend our special thanks to the ACT TEAM lead by Ms. Jane Theresa G. Tabalincos and the BFP Swabbers Team from Philippine Arena headed by F/INSP Cristabel Pascua for their efforts and sacrifices in the conduct of this activity,” he wrote.


The one week aggressive community testing in the province started on February 18 targeting 8,105 individuals to be subjected for RT-PCR test; 5,000 individuals in Tabuk City, 1,205 in Pasil and 1,900 in Lubuagan.
