Rizal, Kalinga begins initial assessment for Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping

Rizal, Kalinga – The Municipal Local Government Unit of Rizal underwent initial assessment for the Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping on March 31, 2022.

Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping, formerly known as the Seal of Good Housekeeping, is awarded to local government units for their efforts in sustaining good practices in accountability and transparency in local governance.

The Department of Interior and Local Government Kalinga Provincial Director Max Mayer Adong led the initial assessment of the compliance of the LGU headed by Mayor Karl Bugao Baac to the Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping.

Municipal Administrator Elyn Domondon explained that they presented the needed means of verification to prove that the LGU has been performing well in terms of internal financial housekeeping and documents that substantiate their adherence to the criteria of Good Financial Housekeeping.

“Naangay iti initial assessment kadagiay areas covered iti Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping kasi this April, i-assess dan nu pumasa kamin idiay Seal of Good House Keeping. Tatta ket nag-present kami kadagiay MOV, means of verification kadagiay requirements,” she said.

Domondon recounted that the Local Government Unit of Rizal was an awardee of the Seal of Good Housekeeping in 2011.
