Sales agent arrested for illegal drugs, claims shabu was planted

Pinukpuk, Kalinga – A 31-year-old sales representative of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office was caught selling and in possesion of alleged illegal substance believed to be shabu Tuesday afternoon, June 1, in Barangay Sucbot.


The suspect who is also a high value drug personality in Kalinga was arrested by the police at around 6:00 PM after selling 2 small sachets of suspected shabu to an undercover operative during a buy-bust operation.

However, after learning that he just transacted with the law enforcers, he threw 5 other sachets of the same alleged illegal substance to the field, claiming it was planted in his bag that’s why he immediately removed it.


Meantime, the confiscated 7 sachets of shabu has a total weight of 0.6 gram with a standard price of P4,080.


Other items confiscated during the operation include the P1,000 buy-bust money, the suspect’s Android phone and ID card, and a black sling bag.


After the on-site inventory, the suspect and the seized items were brought to the Kalinga Provincial Drugs Enforcement Unit for proper documentation and later will be brought to the Kalinga Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
