Security guard dies after losing control of motorcycle in Cagayan

Cagayan, Philippines – A security guard died after losing control of his motorcycle over the weekend.

Jonald Padios, 34, a resident of San Jose, Gonzaga, Cagayan was on his way home on Saturday. When he reached the national highway along Barangay Diora-Zinungan, Santa Ana, Cagayan, he lost control of his motorcycle’s steering wheel and crashed into the roadside.


He was rushed to Santa Ana Community Hospital by the responding personnel from the local police and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office but was brought in dead.


Authorities later found out that Padios was riding under the influence of alcohol.


It can be recalled that on August 15, another security guard from Barangay Pinoma, Cauayan City, Isabela died in a head-on collision along Barangay Palattao, Naguilian.


To avoid such untoward incidents, motorists are warned to be defensive drivers so they can safely reach their desired destinations.
