Tabuk councilor aspirant Alsiyang says Dao-as ‘instrument’ in fighting corruption

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Placido ‘Jun’ Alsiyang Jr. who is running as Tabuk City councilor this May 2022 elections mentioned in his message that Vice Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as has been the main instrument in fighting alleged corruption in Tabuk City.

Alsiyang, during the campaign rally of Dao-as who is running for City Mayor of Tabuk, narrated that Dao-as stood up for people who have no power to question alleged anomalies in Tabuk City government.

“Isuna iti nausar nga instrument … ta dakami awan power mi. ‘Gapu ta sika vice mayor, kitam man bassit ta dillawen tayo iti mapaspasamak iti Tabuk’ kunami. Isuna iti naipasubo ngem iti likudan na, nagadu kami nga al-alya,” he shared.

Alsiyang further asserted that it was also Dao-as who took the courage to file charges before the Office of the Ombudsman.

“Sino iti nakaitured a nangdillaw iti mapaspasamak? Sino nangdillaw? Nakadanun idiay Ombudsman iti dillaw na,” he pointed out.

Alsiyang said that the shortcomings of the current administration at the city hall will be used as lessons in serving Tabuk City better.

He added he is not interested in other agenda other than crafting ordinances that will benefit the people of Tabuk City and that if given the chance to join the Sangguniang Panlungsod in the next three years, Alsiyang said that they will be the ones to advise Dao-as at the legislative department and to look after the transactions in the city.

“Instrumento kamin tu kanyana nga mangbagbaga,” he said.

Alsiyang also told the public not to listen to claims about Dao-as being disqualified at the mayoral race or that he is suspended.

“Haan kayo mamatpati idiay kunkunada nga ‘ay na-disqualify’. Awan apo, dagita ngay iti tuli nga amod,” he stressed.
