Tanudan marks Children’s Month 2022


Tanudan, Kalinga – The Tanudan Local Government Unit led by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag marked Children’s Month on November 21, 2022, with activities enjoyed and actively participated by the children from the different barangays.


During the opening program at Davidson Hotel, Councilor Rizalin Laurentino, the Chairman of the Committee on Social Services in Tanudan, conveyed admiration for the energy of the young ones and acknowledged their active participation in the event.

For his part, Councilor Santos Domalleg stressed the importance of education, reminding the children’s parents that it is their responsibility to hone these kids and send them to school so they grow into better people and have a brighter future.


“Obligasyon tayo kas parents nga we will send our children to school to learn… Ibaon mo iti anak mo iti uskwelaan tapnu iti kasta ket aguskwela and to learn,” he emphasized.


Further, Association of Barangay Captains President Johny Liddawa urged the parents to build a close bond with their kids so that they will not be afraid to open up about everything they are dealing with especially if they face problems.


After the opening program, the celebration proceeded to the contested activities, namely solo singing contest, cultural presentation, poster making, and making of advocacy materials for Kalinga children.
