Tanudan monitored only 1 index crime in 2022

Tanudan, Kalinga – The Municipality of Tanudan remains peaceful with only one index crime monitored in 2022, the Philippine National Police- Tanudan reported.


According to Tanudan Chief of Police, PCapt. Manuel Sabado, their office documented one rape case last year that involved a minor victim.


The index crime recorded in 2022 is lower by one case from that of 2021.

As to non-index crimes or violation of special laws, there were 3 reported cases which include frustrated murder, malicious mischief, and violation of Presidential Decree 705 or the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines.


There were no recorded vehicular traffic accidents in Tanudan last year while there were 5 in 2021. Also, no other quasi-offense was logged in 2022.


Sabado attributed the sustained peace and order in Tanudan to the cooperation of the constituents and the community.


As for the part of the PNP, he said they will continue their different police strategies such as barangay visitation, engagement of barangay officials and the community, and the information education campaign to promote and maintain peace and order in Tanudan.
