Tanudan orders lockdown of 2 sitios to halt COVID transmission

Tanudan, Kalinga―Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tanudan Mayor Jaedicke Dagadag declared Sitio Pitang, Barangay Anggacan Sur, Sitio Pagugo, Barangay Dupligan and Barangay Mabaca under temporary lockdown until January 25, 2021 for efficient prevention of transmission and contact tracing in the municipality.

This is after the municipality recorded five (5) new COVID-19, one (1) from Anggacan Sur who has no travel history, two (2) from Sitio Pagugo, Dupligan who are Returning Residents (RRs) and two (2) from Mabaca with no travel history outside Kalinga (local transmission).

Mayor Jaedicke Dagadag urged his constituents to cooperate with the officials and health personnel for the strict adherence to the health protocols to avoid further worsening of the sudden surge of COVID-19 cases in the municipality.

“Haan da paylang nga agkaruwar dagidiay from daduma nga barangay, ket syempre agkakasinsin dagita adda dita Mangali, haan da paylang kuma sumrek idiay nga Sitios tapno maiwasan tayo paylang ti transmission na dayta ta haan nga kumaru, umadu adu tu manen inggana tu manen aglockdown ti munisipyo,” he said.

Protocols to be observed

a. Minimum public health standard shall be complied with at all times. All persons are mandated to wear face masks or such other protective equipment which can effectively lessen the transmission of COVID-19 and observe social/physical distancing whenever they go out of their residence;

b. Barangay Health checkpoints are hereby mobilized to the same locations under the control and supervision of the Municipal Health Officer;

c. All persons are not allowed to go out from their residence and their movement shall be limited to accessing essential goods and services. The Barangay Officials are hereby mandated to designate person/s and vehicle/s who will purchase essential goods and services (Barangay Certification. The person/s authorized shall secure the necessary travel documents at the Municipal Sub-office, Mabaca, Tanudan, Kalinga;

d. No person shall be allowed to enter within and exit the territorial jurisdiction of Sitio Pitang, Barangay Anggacan Sur, except frontliners and patients during emergency cases;

e. Liquor ban shall be strictly observed; and

f. All persons who are direct contact of the confirmed case are mandated to isolate and observed 14-day home quarantine.
