Known for his trademark explosive striking, the 20-year-old Sangiao is the son of Team Lakay head coach Mark Sangiao.

In less than a minute, he locked the 38-year-old Farinelli in a kneebar position, forcing the Argentine fighter to tap.

As a performance bonus, Sangiao won $50,000 equivalent to over P2.7 million.

In a statement, the young fighter expressed gratitude to the Almighty, his family, coaches, friends, supporters, and sponsors for their help.

Likewise, he thanked Chatri Sityodtong, the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of ONE Championship “for making this possible and for building me.”

“I can’t do this without all of you, thank you! Thailand [is] such a good experience,” he said.
