Tabuk City, Kalinga – After earning a score of 2.88 during the assessment held in 2022 which exceeds the minimal expected level of service delivery, the local government of Tinglayan particularly its Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office gained recognition from the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Cordillera.
The Service Delivery Level III award was received by the local government unit during the 72nd founding anniversary of DSWD on March 10, 2023 at Newtown Plaza Hotel, Baguio City.
Level III is the highest award in the Service Delivery Capacity Assessment which which gauges the LGU and LSWDO's capacity to deliver services in three key areas - administration and organization, program management, and institutional mechanisms.
Apart from their performance in delivery of services, another factor that paved way for them to get the accolade is the office’s demonstration of remarkable innovations and initiatives in the social services and programs for persons with disability, senior citizens and youth.
In a statement, Mayor Sacrament Gumilab congratulated the MSWD Office under the leadership of Angeline Ando and extended gratitude to all officials, personnel, and workers of the municipal government for their services that helped the municipality in getting the recognition.
“May this award inspire even more our dedicated employees under the leadership of Ma’am Angeline Ando to serve at the highest level our constituents,” the mayor stated.
He likewise relayed his congratulatory message to other towns in the province and the provincial LGU for garnering same award.
