Tinglayan LGU conducts barangay visits to evaluate the BLGUs performance

Tinglayan, Kalinga – To evaluate their performance in the implementation of their programs and projects, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tinglayan had been visiting the barangay LGUs of which eight were already monitored from the 20 villages.

These include Barangays Upper Bangad, Lower Bangad, Centro Bangad, Sumadel I, Sumadel II, Belong Man-Ubal and Dananao. The monitoring is focused on evaluating the health and sanitation programs, updates of on-going road improvements, employment programs and other major programs in the locality.

Tinglayan Municipal Information Officer Larae Lactao said that with regards to the implementation of health and sanitation program, all the eight barangays were compliant. Indicators of these include the presence of household gardens, zero stray pigs with the establishment of pigpens, and increased number of households with septic tanks.

Almost all of the eight barangays complied with the programs of the LGU because if a member of the community is not doing his/her part, barangay officials will assist the Barangay Health Workers to ensure the successful implementation of said program,” Lactao said.
