Trike driver in Tayum, Abra gunned down by riding in tandem

Tayum, Abra – A tricycle driver died after he was shot several times by a riding in tandem, at a wake he was attending in Barangay Deet, Tayum, Abra, around 11:50 PM on October 6, 2021.

In a press release, the Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation - MPBC reports that the victim was identified as a certain Dionisio Seguerra Jr., 52, a resident of Barangay Macray Bangued.

According to the report of Tayum Police Station, they received information about the shooting incident from Barangay Captain Bernardo Samuel Tacanay. Upon arrival at the crime scene, Seguerra was already dead.

Initial investigation reveals that the victim with his live-in partner is sitting outside their residence where a wake was being held when the unknown suspects suddenly appeared and pointed their gun at him.

Seguerra tried to run for safety inside the house but the suspects went after him and fired 5 shots to his head and body, resulting in his immediate death.

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered 5 empty bullet shells of caliber .45 pistol.
