Tubban assures assistance for villages under surgical lockdown, provisions of those in isolation

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga Governor Ferdinand B. Tubban assured that assistance are now underway for those affected with the imposition of surgical lockdown, while necessities of individuals under isolation in Temporary Monitoring and Treatment Facilities will be provided.


During the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force meeting held Wednesday, April 14, 2021, Tubban informed the body that he already directed the Provincial Social and Welfare Development Office (PSWDO) to prepare the needed assistance for the concerned barangays.


"We already ordered the PSWDO nga isagana da metten dagidiay mabalin a mapan tayo ipan kadagidiay nagsurgical lockdown,” he said, adding that said office already coordinated with the concerned barangay officials as to the number of days that the province will be providing service.

“LGUs will also be providing, aside from the DSWD inggana makumpleto ti maited. We need to be ready and be alert,” the governor stated.


For the needs of patients in isolation units, Tubban said that strict monitoring will be done to make sure that their needs will be immediately given, to at least make their stay comfortable.

"Our TTMF's, health workers are overwhelmed. We have to make sure that their needs are provided as to our patients' comfort, proper medicines, supplement, enough food, water and other amenities,” he said.

In connection with this, he disclosed that air conditions and necessary equipment for pre-fabricated vans to be utilized as isolation facilities are now being prepared and due to be installed for it to serve its purpos

Tubban’s request to LGUs, National-line Agencies and the Public


Governor Tubban is soliciting the cooperation of agencies concerned as well as the public to ensure that Covid-19 protocols and guidelines are being observed.


"In this trying times, we made a commitment that there will be no YKalinga who will be left behind. We can keep this commitment if we continue working together,” he said.

He then acknowledged the efforts of BLGUs, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, City and Municipal LGUs, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Health, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Public Works and Highways and other national line agencies in joining the PLGU in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.


“Let us continue doing this unconditional service that we are providing for our kailyans because these are the things that Ykalinga's truly deserve,” Tubban said.


He also reminded the strict observance of health and safety protocols especially in public places.
