Tuguegarao City Science High School ranks 3rd at MakeX Robotics World Championship

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan - Cagayanos once again showcased their excellence on the global stage by securing the third prize in the MakeX Robotics World Championship, held from December 8 to December 11, 2023, in Yantai, China.

This event stands as a highly competitive large-scale robot competition program designed for high school students worldwide.

The international contest serves as a crucial platform for promoting multidisciplinary learning within the fields of science and technology.

Participated in by thousands of teams from 30 countries, the students from Tuguegarao City Science High School (TCSHS) - Ezekiel Delos Santos, Aaron Malabad, and Tyrone Gabrielle Pangilinan - under the guidance of their coach Ronevir Dulin, exhibited exceptional skills and innovation.

Their remarkable performance earned them the third-place position in their pit area.

Beyond their achievement in robotics, the team also claimed the Best Cultural Award for embodying the Filipino spirit during the contest.

Securing the top prize in the competition was the Philippine Science High School-Bicol Region Campus team.

Other Philippine teams that clinched the third spot in their respective categories are the Tanasian Phoenix team of Tabuk City National High School, the Luiz Palad Integrated High School team, and the Biñan City Science and Technology High School team.
