Vehicle abandoned and burned near the Chico River in Calanan, Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A burned vehicle parked near the Chico River in Purok 6, Calanan was discovered Friday morning, March 11, 2022.


The Tabuk City Police Station and the Bureau of Fire Protection Tabuk are currently investigating the abandoned Mitsubishi Montero found at the area around 7:00AM, but was only reported at around 9:30 in the morning.


According to the police, the vehicle with no plate number attached was discovered totally razed. Additionally, the responding investigator has also recovered keys, nail cutter, and burnt watch inside the car.

Authorities also reported that a plate number, AHA 4178, was retrieved near the scene, but was not yet confirmed if it is registered for said vehicle.


Initial police investigation indicated that the vehicle was abandoned in the area before it was burned.

The scene of the incident was processed and investigation of the police and the BFP is still ongoing.
