Tabuk City, Kalinga – During the celebration of 27th Founding Anniversary of Kalinga, Vice-Governor, Atty. Dave Odiem highlighted the importance of practicing unity or oneness in pursuit of peace and development.

In his message that he delivered earlier today, February 14, 2022 at Kalinga Astrodome, he encouraged the leaders to let the theme, “One Kalinga in the New Normal, Sustaining Resilience and Excellence” serve as a reminder to continue performing excellence while maintaining the unity in their respective unit.

Moreover, Odiem extended his gratitude to the employees of the various barangay units for their exemplary performance and hard work in sustaining the commitment and dedication during the time of difficulties.

“I would like to thank everyone from the Provincial to the barangay units for their commendable performance to sustain hard work commitment and dedication despite the difficulties and conveniences due to our present situation brought about by Covid-19,” said the vice-governor.

Kalinga Day is significant as the province of the then Kalinga-Apayao was divided into two provinces: Kalinga and Apayao by virtue of Republic Act 7878 approved on February 14, 1995 under the administration of Former President Fidel V. Ramos.
