According to Gerald Zamora, Nurse II at Rizal Municipal Health Office, the event was graced by Rizal Mayor Karl "Bugao" Baac and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Edward Tandingan, with the participation of the Rural Health Unit personnel, the barangay health workers, barangay nutrition scholars, and kagawads on health.

During the event, Dr. Brendalyn Sebastian gave an overview of the history of malaria in Rizal wherein in 2018, the municipality has been declared free of the disease.

Rizal being a malaria-free municipality is attributed to the strong information education campaign done to the communities on how to prevent getting the serious and sometimes fatal disease.

The declaration of Rizal being free from malaria was also made possible through the support of the Rizal Local Government Unit and the cooperation of the communities.
