65-yr-old man in Tuao, Cagayan dies in tragic Barangay Palca road crash

Tuao, Cagayan - A 65-year-old man in Tuao, Cagayan was not able to return home alive on Sunday, September 9, following a road crash.

PNP Tuao reported that the victim was on board a motorcycle when he met the tragic accident.

He was identified as Nestor Apoldo, a resident of Barangay Naruangan, Tuao.

Police Major Jhun Jhun Balisi, the Chief of PNP Tuao, relayed in a media interview that Apoldo was headed back home that day on board of an XRM motorcycle.


Based on the investigation, Apoldo might have lost control of the motorcycle when he reached the curve portion of the road in Barangay Palca which resulted in the crash.


Apoldo and his motorcycle fell straight into an irrigation canal which inflicted severe head injuries to the victim, causing his death.

A follow-up report from said police station revealed that the victim was under the influence of alcohol and was over speeding when the incident transpired.

With the incident, police yet again reminded motorists to not drive when they are already intoxicated to prevent such incidents from recurring.
