Abra siblings known as high value individuals captured

Bangued, Abra – A brother and sister high value individuals in Santa Rosa, Bangued were arrested in a buy-bust operation after one allegedly sold drugs and the other obstructed justice and assaulted police officers.


The Philippine National Police Cordillera identified the suspects as Aiza Bandilas, 32, a PNP/PDEA number 17 target listed drug personality and Avelino Bandilas Jr., 27, also listed as High Value Individual in Bangued.

Based on a police report, Aiza was arrested on the evening of July 8 in Santa Rosa after selling alleged sachet of shabu to an undercover operative during a buy-bust operation.

Additionally, another sachet with the same substance along with the buy-bust and boodle money was confiscated from her.

During the operation, her brother Avelino arrived and in Aiza’s defense, he intimidated one of the operatives in an attempt to stop her arrest. It was reported that Avelino also attempted to pull an object from his bag but was prevented by the police. It was later discovered that he was carrying a caliber .38 revolver with 5 live ammunitions inside.


With this, the police arrested Avelino for obstruction of justice and for direct assault.


The two were brought to Bangued Municipal Police Station while appropriate charges are being prepared against them.
