Cong. Mangaoang honors dedication, bravery of Capt. Juan M. Duyan

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Commemorating the death anniversary of Captain Juan M. Duyan on February 24, 2022, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang honored the dedication and bravery of the late Duyan who contributed to the attainment of peace being enjoyed today.

Duyan is a multi-awarded World War II veteran who became the first elected Congressman and Governor of the then province of Kalinga-Apayao.


Mangaoang along with Cordillera Regional Director, Police Brigadier General (PBGEN) Ronald Lee; PRO2 Regional Director, PBGEN Steve Ludan; Acting Kalinga Police Provincial Director, Police Colonel Peter Tagtag Jr; and family members of Duyan marked his death anniversary through a wreath laying ceremony.

The ceremony was held at Duyan’s new monument, built at Camp Captain Juan M Duyan, Bulanao, Tabuk City through the initiative of former Kalinga Police Provincial Director, PCOL Davy Vicente Limmong.


Mangaoang took to social media his gratitude to the late Kalinga hero for all his sacrifices saying, ‘your legacy is ours to nurture.’
