Tabuk City, Kalinga – Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang paid tribute to Kalinga’s forebearers who dedicated their time and services in the transformation of the province ‘from an unpretentious community into a vibrant and fast-growing province.’

Mangaoang paid homage as the province celebrated its 27th Founding Anniversary this February 14, 2022 through a simple program held at Kalinga Astrodome.

The congressman related that just like the 12 Outstanding yKalingas who were awarded for their remarkable accomplishment, the dedication and the exemplary performance of the pioneering leaders are worthy of emulation.

“To those who went ahead, may they rest in peace and to those who are still living, we pray that the Lord bless them with more years to come so that we can always go back to them and ask for advices for the progress of our province,” said Mangaoang.

As the Representative of the Lone District of Kalinga in the 17th and 18th Congress, the congressman likewise shared the measures that were realized through his effort and initiative.

Mangaoang reported the bills he authored that contributed to the development of education, culture, transportation, and other government sectors. The report, he said, is for the community to get a glimpse of what’s ahead of the province for the coming years.

The solon then encouraged the community not to let the sense of loss and hopelessness be greater than the faith in these trying times.

“Highlighted in our theme this year is the continuing quest for excellence that we intend to imbibe in the heart and mind of every yKalinga…Let us not be tempted to question the possibility of us achieving our theme of ‘One Kalinga in the New Normal, Sustaining Resilience and Excellence,’” Mangaoang underscored.
