Baguio City, Philippines – The Land Transportation Office - Cordillera Administrative Region (LTO-CAR) is now using the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS), an online service that provides safe, hassle-free transactions with the agency amid the pandemic.

LTO CAR Regional Director Francis Ray Almora, as reported by Bombo Radyo Baguio, said that all regional and district offices of LTO-Cordillera are now using the LTMS to serve clients.

According to him, the agency can now efficiently deliver its services to clients online so that they do not have to be physically present in the office, thus they could avoid the risk of getting the COVID-19 virus.

Though there are few transactions that require the presence of clients in the office, Almora said that almost all transactions are done remotely via visiting and registering on said online portal.

He said that transactions such as registration and renewal of a driver’s license can be done through LTMS.

Aside from avoiding the hassle of processing documents, the system, he said, also renders clients quick and fixer-free transactions, cutting the time of going to the office.

He added that the agency’s number of accommodations has increased since the implementation of said online system in the region. He said they will add more personnel to man the LTMS to accommodate more and give better services to all clients.

Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) is the first region in the country to use an online transaction system.
